This year Morson Projects took part in the event, with employees "wearing it pink" and raised a total of £168 which will be donated to the breast cancer campaign charity.
‘Wear it Pink' is Breast Cancer Campaign's biggest fundraising event during Breast Cancer Awareness month and is the original and best pink day in the uk. It has raised over £3.6 million since its launch in 2003.
Breast Cancer Campaign is the only charity that specialises in funding independent breast cancer research throughout the uk. It currently supports 71 research projects, worth over £9.2 million in 47 locations across the UK.
Over the past 11 years Breast Cancer Campaign has awarded 141 grants with a total value of over £14.5 million to universities, medical schools/teaching hospitals and research institutes across the uk.
Money raised from ‘Wear it Pink' has helped the campaign establish a scientific fellowship programme. Fellowships are five-year grants of up to £450,000 which are awarded to support the career of a promising researcher with a proven track record in the field of breast cancer.
